Balloon Arch Making Process

I. Preparation of Materials and Tools

‌Bracket‌: PVC pipe (5-6cm in diameter), metal wire or finished arch kit (length adjusted according to needs, generally 3-5 meters)‌.

‌Base‌: bucket/sandbag, cinder block or professional base (for fixing the bracket)‌.

‌Balloon‌: It is recommended to choose the same color or two-color combination (such as blue and white, pink and purple), and the uniform size is more beautiful‌.

‌Auxiliary Tools‌: Inflator, nylon rope/fishing line, buckle (for fixing balloons)‌.

II. Production Steps

‌Building the Bracket and Base‌

Bend the PVC pipe into a semicircle, and insert both ends into a bucket filled with sand/gravel to fix it (to ensure the stability of the bracket)‌.

If using metal wire, cut the appropriate length and fix it on the base. You can wrap colored sand or decorations to hide the ordinary base‌.

‌Balloon inflation and combination‌

‌Inflation‌: Use an air pump to inflate the balloons to the same size (avoid helium, ordinary air is fine), and each group of 4 (same color or two-color cross)‌.

‌Combination‌: Tie two balloon pairs into a "cross" shape, and then wrap them with nylon rope to form a spiral or staggered arrangement effect‌.

‌Assembly arch‌

Wrap the balloon groups on the bracket in order, staggering one balloon position in each group (such as purple-pink-purple-pink cycle) to ensure a tight fit‌.

Use a ring buckle or fishing line to string the balloons in series and put them on the bracket, focusing on strengthening the top and bottom of the arch‌.

‌Embellishing and adjustment‌

Add small decorative balloons or decorations (such as flowers, ribbons) between the large balls to enhance the layering‌.

Adjust the base spacing: shortening the spacing can increase the height of the arch, and widening the spacing will increase the width‌.

III. Precautions

‌Stability‌: The base needs to be weighted (such as water or gravel) to prevent the arch from tipping over‌. ‌Balloon leak prevention‌: After tying the knot, you can use transparent tape to reinforce it again to prevent leakage‌.

‌Color matching‌: It is recommended to distribute two-color balloons in proportion (such as 3:2) to avoid color mixing affecting the visual effect‌.
