When storing an uninflated LED Bobo Balloon, what precautions should be taken to prevent the LED bulbs inside from being crushed?

2025-10-17

Unused LED Bobo Balloons at home look soft when uninflated, so many people simply crumple them up and shove them in a drawer. The next time they use them, they discover the LED bulbs are crushed and won't light up when powered on. The bulbs in these balloons are often attached to thin wires or battery packs, making them particularly fragile. By paying attention to a few details when storing, you can prevent them from being crushed.

Check the bulbs and wires

Before storing, unfold the LED Bobo Balloon and power it on to check if the bulbs light up and if the wires are bent or loose. If a bulb doesn't light up or if there are noticeable creases in the wires, don't store it immediately. Instead, perform some simple repairs, such as gently straightening the bent wire to confirm that the bulb is lighting properly before storing it. Storing a damaged bulb with it may further crush the damaged part and even affect other working bulbs. Also, gently wipe away any dust from the balloon's surface to prevent it from sticking to the light bulbs or wires, which could affect contact over time.

Stack according to light bulb distribution

The light bulbs in LED Bobo Balloons are typically wrapped around a bracket inside the balloon or secured along the edges. When storing, never crumple the balloon like scrap paper or forcefully fold it in half. The correct approach is to gently fold the balloon along the direction of the light bulb distribution. For example, if the light bulbs are arranged in a circular pattern, stack them gradually along the curve of the circle, ensuring that each layer does not directly press on the light bulbs. If the light bulbs are attached to a battery box at the bottom of the balloon, place the battery box separately and gently spread out the balloon and fold it into small pieces, ensuring that the weight of the battery box does not rest on the light bulbs.

Choose a soft storage box

The storage container is also crucial. Avoid hard-shell boxes or overcrowded drawers. Hard-shell boxes can easily squeeze the balloons, and overcrowded drawers create constant pressure, which can damage the light bulbs. It's best to choose a soft storage bag, such as a fabric bag, velvet bag, or clean plastic bag. If using a storage box, choose a soft plastic box, line it with a soft cloth or tissue paper, and then place the folded LED Bobo Balloon inside. Avoid placing other hard objects, such as scissors or tape, in the box to prevent them from poking the LED bulbs.

Store the battery box separately

The battery box for LED Bobo Balloons is usually made of plastic, which is harder than the LED bulbs. If stacked with the balloons during storage, the corners of the box can easily press against the LED bulbs or loosen the connectors connecting the LED bulbs. Therefore, it's best to remove the battery box and store it separately, such as in a small storage bag, separate from the balloons. If the battery box can't be removed, place it face up on the top of the storage container to prevent it from pressing on the LED bulbs. Also, be careful not to place other objects on the battery box to prevent it from deforming and squeezing the LED bulbs.
