Latex balloons are popular for their rich colors. How to recognize the real Latex balloon? The following are the identification methods and purchasing suggestions provided by Borun Balloon Factory:

一、Core identification methods:

1. Balloon touch and elasticity test:

Take a sample of latex balloon, gently rub and stretch it. NiuN brand Latex balloon is soft and delicate with elasticity, and it can be restored to its original state after testing.

NiuN brand Latex balloons are soft, delicate and elastic, and can be restored to their original shape after the test. Non-latex balloons (e.g., some low-end plastic balloons) are usually hard or slippery to the touch, with insufficient elasticity, and easy to be deformed or even ruptured after stretching.

2. Natural Latex Odor:

NiuN brand Latex balloon will emit natural rubber odor, which is harmless and will dissipate gradually.

Emitting a strong pungent chemical odor (similar to cheap plastic), is not a pure latex balloon, may be mixed with synthetic materials or the use of poor-quality coatings.

3. Translucency and Texture:

Hold an uninflated Latex balloon up to a light source. The material appears slightly translucent, and a natural, subtle irregular texture (a natural latex film-forming characteristic) can be observed on the surface.

Balloons that are completely opaque or have an excessively smooth surface and “perfect” texture should be viewed with a high degree of caution for synthetic imitations.

4. Natural latex is biodegradable:

Latex balloons are biodegradable. When placed outdoors in soil or compost, they will naturally degrade and crumble within a few months.

If it is left for a long period of time (e.g., more than a year) without degradation, it may be a non-biodegradable plastic balloon (e.g., metal-film balloon).

二、Suggestions for purchasing: Lock the high quality latex balloon factory

1.Material requirements: When inquiring or placing orders, make clear that the purchasing requirement is “100% Natural Latex Balloon”. Make sure to get the real latex balloon.

2.Proof of compliance: Require suppliers to provide authoritative test reports, focusing on. For example, EU CE certification (including EN 71-3 heavy metal migration test), U.S. ASTM F963 standard, California Proposition 65 compliance certificate and other compliance documents.

3.Supplier qualification: Prefer source factories that specialize in balloon production and have a perfect quality control system (e.g. ISO 9001), such as Borun Balloon Factory.

4.Physical samples: Before purchasing, make sure to obtain samples of latex balloons and conduct rigorous tests according to the identification methods (touch, odor, elasticity, light transmission). Sample confirmation is the key link to avoid purchasing risk.

5.Packaging and descriptions: Key information such as “100% Natural Latex” is clearly labeled on the packaging of latex balloons, and careful review of the packaging information is a quick means of verifying the compliance of latex balloons when purchasing.
